I used to cut my hair once a year the day before school pictures. My mom was livid the first few years, but eventually she adopted a zen like philosophy of the whole thing
The husband and I have a little pool going to see who will give themselves a homemade haircut first. So far WW is in the lead since JB hates getting his hair cut and she's never had one and wants one so bad. Really, I think she just wants the sucker that he always gets on his haircutting appt.
Anyway, she's still adorable and as Mary A. said, you'll look back on this and laugh someday =)
I don't know if you ever saw the haircut I gave Jake when we were younger. His hair wsa long and blonde like hers (he was often mistaken in public as a girl because it was so long) and I did a fine job! Put the scissors right on top of his head and cut it off in patches. I was proud, he loved it, and mom and dad were mortified. Dad actually cried, HAHA
I'm a crazy proud mother of an 8-year-old Star Wars obsessed black belt boy and 6-year-old clothing and make-up designer girl.
When I'm not teaching high school English or volunteering at my kids' school, I manage our household. If I'm not driving children to and from karate lessons and play dates, I can usually be found logging miles on the gym treadmill, elliptical or stairway to nowhere.
Or sitting under a tree reading a book or magazine.

Oh, ouch!!
New, heavy bangs that cover it up?
Yep, mine did the same thing just days after our Christmas portraits last year. Of course right after we finally had it all one length.
It's just now evened out because we cut it into a bob. I didn't want her to have bangs since she dances.
Ugh, I feel your pain.
Maybe you can put in a cute barrette and sweep the longer hair over it?
I know you don't believe me now but someday this will be very very funny. I promise.
A rite of passage...
Stock up on some headbands to cover it up. :)

Maybe there's some way of cutting more bangs over it to hide it?
Still, she's so cute no one will even notice.
